How To Catch Your Prospects

There are many people in the network marketing industry today. They remind me of fish in the ocean. The economy is bad and it is driving many out of their comfort zones into a whole new world they are not used to. I remember the story of Captains Courageous. A rich selfish kid fallen overboard, rescued by a fishing dory. He would learn some hard things with some hard people. Sounds like Network Marketing.

They are so many that are new to the waters of home based business. This rich kid knew nothing about fishing, but the fisherman did. Many have the choice to remain on the network marketing boat or jump off, the boy in this story did not have this choice. He was stuck on the boat until their journey was complete. Knowing how to fish or generate and recruit leads comes with staying on the boat.

True though. The fish are those with business opportunities already, who want to be caught by the seeking fisherman. You’d think that by jumping out of the water and screaming, “Join our team!” they would recruit the fisherman, but…. it doesn’t happen. Why, because the fish give no reason for the fisherman to catch him. Would you catch something that jumped out of the water and screamed at you? Point well taken, I hope!

So, as home business owners we must understand who we are looking for. We are wanting prospects that are capable of performing the tasks we will teach them. These are those who have a strong reason to be in a home based business opportunity in the first place. This you will discover during your interviewing process.

You want to be successful in your home based business, right?. So do the people who are looking to join YOU. Know your market. Understand what they are searching for and become a solution, not another spamming pest.

Do you know that we are our own worst enemies? Do you want to scare away your future downline? If you sound like all the other scammers and spammers, they will avoid you. Become a sailing vessel for your prospect. Lead them through safe waters of good ads, good articles, return phone calls, and show them a leader at the helm they can trust.

Every leader develops a system he or she operates and lives by. They have a code of conduct. They have a daily routine. They spend more time making money not spending money. They live in an abundance mindset. They empower people wherever they go. This is a person others will follow and join.
